PARC National Competition: Whitesands Among the Top Finalists
Our research team placed in the top tier of the Pan-African Research Challenge — a months-long competition testing analytical thinking, original research, and presentation under pressure.

Three of our senior students represented Whitesands at the national finals of the Pan-African Research Challenge (PARC) this month, placing among the top finalists in a field of more than sixty schools.
Their submission — a study on water access and household behaviour in two Lagos communities — was praised by the judges for both methodological honesty and the clarity of its policy recommendations.
The team was mentored by faculty from the Sciences and Humanities departments, and prepared over five months of weekend research sessions. Their final presentation, delivered in front of a panel that included two professors and a state-level policymaker, drew sustained applause.
Whitesands will return to PARC next year with a new team — and a higher bar.
