The School Colors and the explanation of the Crest Motifs

The Crest:   The star signifies the common goal to achieve a life of virtue based on Christian ideals. The ship with waves underneath signifies the life of each of the students, with its ups and downs, open to adventure but with guidance/direction of the star. As the ship has many masts, so does a child need the co-operation of many in his forward movement in life. The two waves going always in the same direction, whether up or down represent the harmony between the family and the school. The three colours: red, blue and yellow, represent three realities in the school: * The three main protagonists in our educational activity: parents, teachers and students. * The three tenets upon which our school stands: parental involvement, integral education and personalised approach. * The three pillars of education: love for truth, love for freedom and cheerfulness.  The School Motto:   “Duc in Altum” - the Latin phrase for “launch into the deep” (Luke 5:4). This is a challenge to explore knowledge in the arts, science and technology. It is equally a challenge to gain mastery of oneself by searching for what is right and true with freedom and responsibility. It also implies our total commitment to take the plunge and launch out to catch not just “fish” but gather “men”, for Christ.
